To the Issue of the Aspectual Category of Telicity/Atelicity in French (on the Material of the Verbs of Movement) (Retracted 11/04/2022)

The article deals with the universal category of telicity/atelicity of verbal activity and with the classification of the French verbs of movement. The category of direction and the concept of perspective are the main semantic features indicating telicity/atelicity of a verb of movement.

Syntactic Signs of the Typical Proposition «the State of Nature Manifested by the Movement of Objects» in the Russian Language

The article describes different sentences with the meaning «the state of nature manifested by the movement of objects» from two perspectives: structural (the structural schemes of the simple sentences are analyzed as signs of the typical proposition) and semantic (utterances are classified on the ground of the differences in the meanings).

On the Names of Grain and Milk Dishes in Some Modern Dialects of Ryazan Region

The article deals with the description of one of the fragments of the food stock-list in the dialects of Sarajevo district of Ryazan region. The research presents a linguistic description of the names of grain and milk dishes. This work continues the studies of Ryazan dialects, the materials of which provide an important source for researching the development of lexical dialect system.

Condolences: a Linguistic Perspective (on the Material of the German language)

The article deals with a specific type of etiquette statements – condolences. The first part analyzes the pragmatic conditions for making the relevant speech acts, then the author covers the language operators which generate and modify the sense elements of condolences. The paper concludes with a view on indirect ways of expressing condolences.

This paper deals with the analysis of speech means of creating the images of Russia and the USA within the opposition framework «friend or foe» in the Russian press. In the opposition press the author distinguishes ideologemes that create the image of a «friendly» and «hostile» country.

The Conceptual Field Faith in Orthodox and Protestant Subdiscourses (on the Material of the Russian and English Language Corpus Texts)

The article is dedicated to the issues of corpus linguistics and to the development of corpus-based discourse analysis principles. The author briefly characterizes the tendencies of corpus research in Russian and European linguistics and offers a set of methods of conceptual field modeling within the structure of discourse.

The article analyzes the specificity of the linguistic personality of Catherine II on a pragmatic level, studies phraseological units, used in her texts, as the main instrument of pragmatic impact on the recipient.

The article addresses the problem of precedent phenomena definition and classification from the point of view of the complex approach. Based on the undertaken analysis, the authors give the definition of precedent phenomena, distinguish their main and complementary characteristic features as well as build the hierarchy of the precedent phenomena.

The article discusses the potential of a psycholinguistic association experiment in the study of professional and personal distinguishing features of language consciousness in physicians. Research findings support the idea of associative reactions being professionally determined and of their congruency with the parcels recorded in the lexical-semantic field «Disease».
