The article examines the elements of Christian and pagan knowledge that are relevant for rural residents and form a close unity in the swearing of the people's cultural tradition.

The article is devoted to the study of the Latin text of the 12th-13th centuries, which before did not attract the attention of linguists. Various phonetic and lexical features are distinguished and classified. They are typical for the variant of medieval Latin used at that time in Provence. The materials proposed can later be used in studies of the Romance languages.

The article presents and systematizes materials that were previously only casually touched upon in studies on ancient Greek verbal vocalism. Analyzing the material, the author comes to the conclusion that the alternations being the object of the study do not have synchronous phonetic conditioning and can be referred to the sphere of morphology.

The penetration of the Internet into all spheres of human life necessitates the study of Internet communication, as communication, forming and developing according to its rules. The article analyzes the functioning of prohibitory statements, and lists features of Internet communication that affect the reduction in the degree of directness and categorical prohibitions in the space of forums.

The article discusses some extra- and intralinguistic conditions for the formation of the Australian version of the English language, which is independent and takes its own place in the system of other variants of the English language, differing both from the British English and American versions. It is also noted that in the works of domestic linguists this option is given insufficient attention.

Complex speech events are a special form of communicative interaction, have a complex structure and are fixed in the language in the form of names. Interpretation of texts of memoirs and stories about life, as well as media texts about events, should take into account the cognitive aspects of the presentation of the event in the text - the features of the reference and text events, as well as the existence of a prototypical event. Analysis of complex speech events on the material of memorial texts allows us to determine the socio-cultural factors that form this or that event concept.

The article deals with specific features of the speech representation of the opposition «one’s – other’s» in religiously heterogeneous traditional community.
